Manual Machinist
Overview/Position:
The Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by setting-up and operating manual machine tools while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Duties:
- Prepare materials, machine and work orders for production.
- Read and understand work orders, drawings and blueprints.
- Determine product specifications and select appropriate tooling.
- Set-up, operate and monitor machines.
- Perform routine maintenance; troubleshoot and call for repairs.
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform corrective actions on finished product as required.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machine tools and work area.
- Maintain inspection records and measuring tools.
- Complete associated paperwork as required.
- Provide training to new Machinists as required.
Skilled Labourer
Overview/Position:
The Skilled Labourer is responsible for general shop, sandblasting, painting, and assembly duties within the Production department.
Duties:
- General shop labour duties.
- Sandblasting and cleaning parts.
- Prepping and painting parts requiring respirator fit testing.
- Assembling, hydrotesting, and calibrating control valves and related products.
CNC Machinist
Overview/Position:
You will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. You will use appropriate tools and measuring equipment to make parts to engineering standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans machining process by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications.
- Programs CNC mills and lathes by utilizing G-code or Mazatrol and MasterCAM.
- Sets-up and operates mills and lathes, verifies first-run parts and monitors dimensions and operations over the job run.
- Suggests and implements creative solutions for fixtures, jigs, and tooling for efficient machining operations.
- Inspects finished parts with various measuring tools and completes inspection report.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Good housekeeping and work area cleanliness

Inventory Control Coordinator
Overview/Position:
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for inventory control for the machining and automation building through the organization, transfer, maintenance and restocking of inventory. The Inventory Control Coordinator manages paint booth work orders, picks parts, and handles paint quality concerns from production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Facilitate inventory transfers to designated locations.
- Categorically sort inventory e.g., active stock, repair, scrap, etc.
- Work with appropriate departments for inventory replenishment and product storage solutions e.g., manufacturing, purchasing, production, ESD, and machining.
- Receive and store incoming transfers.
- Facilitate paint booth operations: generate work orders, pick parts for actuator assembly and painting, maintain paint set stock, and resolve painting issues.
- Design, implement and modify storage solutions for new products.
- Ensure shop is organized and clean.
- Assume duties as assigned.
